All Star Style in the Lone Star State

CUT Dallas

Inspired by the patchwork of farms in the Texas landscape, KBA designed the exterior and interior spaces for the Dallas restaurant.

LOCATION: Dallas, TX

CLIENT: Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group

OVERVIEW: 19,000 Square Foot Signature Restaurant

SERVICES: Architecture, Interior Design

CONSULTANTS: Brockette Davis Drake Inc., Blum Consulting Engineers Inc., Tillotson Design, Legacy Foodservice Design

Our third project with the CUT team, we were thrilled to reimagine and elevate the steakhouse to a fine dining level in Dallas.

The Exterior Lounge creates a front porch for the City of Dallas and grounds the north side of the Dallas Park District with a southern exterior living room. This 19,000 square foot restaurant, includes a Lounge area with a C-shaped bar, a sushi bar, an exterior lounge space on the ground floor, atrium spaces, and dramatic stairs that connect restaurant guests to the Second Level.

A Dining Room, Butcher Area (upstairs), Wine Cases, Whiskey Bar, exposed Kitchen window, and two Banquet Spaces are on the Second Level. Back of house areas include the Kitchen, Storage, Office and Locker room.

The green planters and blue-chip artwork in the restaurant and lounge, including works by Donald Judd and Deborah Butterfield, create an extension of the Dallas Arts and Park District into the dining experience. It feels like you’re eating in an art gallery.
